| Winning a state basketball championship is no easy task! Not only do you have to have exceptional talent, but many factors must go your way in the post season.
During our season and championship run, we were blessed to have both of these things happen.
As a graduate of Cascade Christian High (in 1984), I have tasted both victory and disappointment as a player and coach. I have seen many excellent teams at Cascade Christian come to the end of their season only to suffer the frustration of a season ending setback. But I believe that it was through the hard work, dedication and experience of those previous Challenger teams that allowed this year's team to climb to the top of the mountain. And because of that, the 2006-2007 Challengers are now Champions! From the first practice to the final game, it has been an absolute pleasure to coach these fine young men. Their hard work, great attitudes, and tremendous dedication paid off not only with the school's first ever state basketball championship, but I believe will pay off as they grow into exceptional citizens, husbands, fathers and leaders in our community. The Lord has truly blessed your efforts and I am proud of you all! Coach Morse |
